Orkid & The Garuda’s Eye is an unpublished children’s tale written and illustrated by Adrian Hashimi. It is a story about a young girl who was tricked by the evil Garuda in giving up her eyes. Upon hearing all the malice created by the Garuda since it has its new eye sight, Orkid with the help of her Bint her bearcat companion goes on a quest to regain back her eyes.
Orkid was written in the style of Traditional Malayan Folk Tale. The illustrations are created with graphite, rice paper screens and digital.
